 Like Life - Therapy is a Journey!

 Clients come with the following concerns, maybe some of these are yours?

Q.  Will therapy make my condition or situation worse or confuse me more?

​

A.  No - therapy together can provide a release of emotions, and gently bring about understanding and healing. Sessions together with me are informal, go at your pace, and you'll discover many helpful skills and techniques in an interesting and often fun manner. Difficulties are explored from many angles to bring awareness and clarity - not confusion!. Therapy is undertaken sensitively while effectively to promote change and we'll work on this together with compassion. You can learn many researched and proven skills to become your own therapist!

Q.  Will I find out things about myself I don't like? Will bringing fears to light mean I'll have to face things, and will I be judged? 

​

A. You will discover beliefs you hold about yourself, many of which are outdated and self-defeating, and uncover fears that hold you back. These will be explored together with compassion, in a gentle manner, and doing so  with various techniques will begin to see them break up and create self confidence.. There is no judgement in therapy - we are all human and all have various fears, or weaknesses, and make mistakes! - many can even become our strengths!

Therapy Together - Using Your Compass!

Each session will be relaxed in a homely setting. Together we will gradually untangle the difficulties, exploring in a kind way, at your pace. We will gently discover and heal using different approaches, angles, strategies and thought provoking exercises to get to the heart of the matter. Many clients find these both fun but also very insightful. I encourage you to be curious and compassionate. Why? Because you will go on to use these skills as your compass for life.

Therapy begins with being heard, to release and validate whatever has been so very difficult and painful . Every session is devoted to relieving your distress and understanding your experiences, but there is more....

 

You can begin to build confidence, self compassion, learn how to relax, manage stress, anxiety, depression, regulate thought and emotion, and be more mindful and clear in everyday life, bringing a greater sense of peace, stability and well being. You will learn so much more about who you are and what you really want!

We can all lose our life compass and find the road ahead is no longer clear. 

My aim is to help you understand, heal, regain WHO YOU ARE and RESET YOUR LIFE COURSE.
